[The Impact of Applying Cybersecurity Principles on The Development of Good Digital Citizenship Among High School Students in Jordan]

The study aimed to examine the impact of teaching cybersecurity principles on enhancing good digital citizenship, comparing the performance of an experimental group taught using these principles with a control group taught using traditional methods. The sample consisted of 85 students, divided into two groups: the experimental group (41 students) and the control group (44 students). The study adopted a quasi-experimental design to determine the effect of teaching cybersecurity principles on the development of good digital citizenship. The study instrument was a test comprising 20 multiple-choice questions. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in developing digital citizenship, in favor of the experimental group. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences attributed to gender, with the differences favoring females. The study recommended the integration of cybersecurity principles into curricula to enhance digital citizenship skills and foster digital awareness through educational and awareness programs targeted at school and university students
هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر تدريس مبادئ الأمن الإلكتروني في تعزيز المواطنة الرقمية الصالحة، مع مقارنة الأداء بين مجموعة تجريبية درست باستخدام هذه المبادئ ومجموعة ضابطة درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية، وتكونت العينة من 85 طالبا وطالبة تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة التجريبية(41) طالبا وطالبة، والمجموعة الضابطة: (44) طالبا وطالبة، اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج شبه التجريبي؛ لتحديد تأثير تدريس مبادئ الأمن الإلكتروني على تنمية المواطنة الرقمي الصالحة، وكانت أداة الدراسة اختبارا مكون من 20 سؤالا من نوع الاختيار من متعدد ، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة في تنمية المواطنة الرقمية، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، وأن هناك فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية تُعزى للجنس، وكانت الفروق لصالح الإناث، وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة دمج مبادئ الأمن الإلكتروني وإدراجها في المناهج الدراسية لتطوير مهارات المواطنة الرقمية، وتنمية الوعي الرقمي من خلال برامج تعليمية وتوعوية موجهة لطلاب المدارس والجامعات
